Corfu has a wealth of good transport, ranging from the latest coaches to a mix of imported secondhand stock from all over Europe.
And the drivers? - unbelievable!
They pick their way through hairpins, and direct all other motorists with their unique air of righteousness based on their ability to squeeze through gaps that would damage their coach if it had one more layer of paint.
They magisterially drive along cliff edges that would frighten a mountain goat.
And the chance of seeing a damaged vehicle is nil (well, almost).
Enjoy these musings from a fortnight's holiday on the Queen of the Ionian Islands. Remember - if Corfu had the ability, it would bow low in salute to every one of its bus and coach drivers, the Gods of the Corfu road scene. |
